Along with the "Standings" page of wins, loses and ties our home page will soon be featuring a billboard with players who register hatticks or shutouts.
MicroIce Skating Facility is offering Ice Time Rental
MicroIce is offering Saturday night rental of its facility (7pm - 10pm) to local boards for social/team building activities or just plain old family skate with kids and parents. You can use the time for mini competitions, fundraising, etc. Additionally, if you have any other ideas as to how the MicroIce facility can benefit the Masco program please let MicroIce know.
The cost for a 3 hour period is $100 which includes set up, clean up, etc. Food can be ordered and brought into the facility however eating will be limited to the viewing area only, and seating can be provided for 25-30 people. To maintain safety there is a limit of 25 skaters on the ice.

PHOTO DAY – October 19th at Spofford School, Boxford
Mark your calendar for individual and team photos on October 19th at the Spofford Elementary School in Boxford. All players should dress in their full team (black) uniform including hockey stick and skates. A helmet is not needed.
Coach's skate
The Coach's Skate schedule is now posted on the website. Skates are held at Governor's Academy on Wednesdays at 9:30 PM and begin on 10/22. All coaches are invited to participate in the weekly Coach's Skate. These skates are great for building community and they provide an opportunity to meet coaches from other levels. Come join us and get in a great workout in the process! The cost is $15 per skate.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Vic Castro is the October Volunteer of the Month. Vic has served on the MYH Board for many years and quite frankly, the program would collapse without his efforts. He is the Valley League rep and one of two Ice Directors. These are critical Board positions and he spends countless hours making sure our teams are sent to the correct rink at the correct time and on the correct date. MYH's ice schedules run smoothly due to his efforts. This is no small feat when you consider he is responsible for scheduling 16 teams plus house league and learn-to-skate. Vic has also coached many teams and is heavily involved in the Masco Classic as he runs the skills events, recruits teams and makes the schedule. MYH owes Vic a huge debt of gratitude for his service and commitment to our program.
