Tryouts for the 2012-2013 Masco Youth Hockey Season are coming up soon. If you will be a Mite skater or older next year, you must try out (players are expected to attend both tryout sessions.) All tryouts are held at Governor's Academy. We hope to see you there!
Some very important details that may seem confusing while you register:
- There is a non-refundable $150 charge for tryouts.
- There is a refundable $500 charge to be rostered
onto a travel team.
(Both of these amounts are applied toward your Fall tuition.)
When you register, the total price shown ($650) will include both of these amounts. The $150 is due immediately upon registration, and the $500 is not deducted until May 1st. If you wish to withdraw from the process before that date, you may.

First skate is FREE!!
(January 14– April, $100, Saturdays)
The above MYH programs are for children under the age of 8 who are beginner skaters or brand new skaters and eager to learn. Learn to Skate will be combined with Intro to Hockey to offer different levels for the beginner to the more experienced skater where sticks and pucks are introduced. A helmet (HECC approved full mask hockey helmet or bike helmet) is required for Learn to Skate. For Intro to Hockey the following are required; HECC approved full face mask hockey helmet, an ice hockey stick and properly sharpened hockey skates. It is suggested that children wear elbow guards and knee pads to soften those falls!
The program will skate at the Haverhill Valley Forum Rink in the Ward Hill Business Park (off 495, exit 48) on Saturdays . The LTS /Intro Program 2nd session starts January 14. Full schedules are posted on Calendar pages.
The FIRST LTS SKATE is FREE, so come try it out!
