Masco Youth Hockey – Spring Programs!!!!
Hello MYH Families,
Best of luck to our teams playing in the championship round this weekend. While the Fall/Winter Season is coming to an end, that does not mean that hockey has to. If you player loves hockey, keep them skating! Below you will find four affordable opportunities to keep your kids on the ice for a few more weeks.
If you child is of the PeeWee or Bantam age and is going to play Spring hockey, we would highly recommend the body contact/checking clinic!

Checking/Body Contact Clinic
This three-session program will get your player ready for the physical side of the game. Professional instruction focused on safety. Players will learn how to give and receive a check, angling, timing and heads up play.
Where: Essex Sport Center, Rink 1.
When: Monday April 12th, Monday April 19th and Monday April 26th , 6:30pm (50 minutes)
Ages: Suggested Pee Wee and above (2010 birth year or later)
Cost: - $50 for three sessions.

3 on 3 Small Area Games
Small area hockey games encourage decision making, promote creativity, and increase practice intensity. Plus, players love them. This three-session program will be light on coaching…. Let the kids be creative and play. Games will be supervised by Masco Youth Hockey coaches.
Where: Essex Sport Center, Rink 1.
When: Wednesday April 14th, Wednesday April 21st, Wednesday April 28th (each session 50 minutes)
Levels: Mites and Squirts – 6:40pm. Pee Wees and Bantams – 7:40pm
Cost: - $50 for three sessions. Goalies are FREE.

April Skills
This three-week program will keep your ice hockey skills sharp and will help your player develop new ones. Sessions will be delivered by a professional skills company. Each of the three sessions will focus on specific aspects of the game:
Session 1: Power Skating/Edge
Session 2: Stickhandling
Session 3: Passing/Shooting
Where: Essex Sport Center, Rink 1.
When: Thursday April 15th, Thursday April 22nd, Thursday April 29th (each session 50 minutes)
Levels: Mites and Squirts – 6:30pm. Pee Wees and Bantams – 7:30pm
Cost: - $50 for three sessions.

Mite Development - Spring Challenge
This program is designed for Intro-to-Hockey, Mite Development, and Mites newer to hockey and will provide a fun environment to continue to develop fundamental hockey skills. The sessions will feature small area hockey games, which encourage decision making and promote creativity. Plus, players love them. This three-session program will be light on coaching…. Let the kids be creative and play. The session will be instructed by coach Leger, coach Bandoian, coach Melito, and others.
