Lady Chieftains

The Lady Chieftains is a development program for girls ages 8-18. No prior experience is required... we are looking for girls who simply have an interest in playing hockey and want to develop their skills and have fun playing the game. This is a great no pressure environment for your daughter to give hockey a try, with experienced coaches and a positive environment.

Ages

For the 2023-2024 season, the Lady Chieftains program includes four teams (U10, U12, U14, U16/U18). The girls' teams compete in the Middlesex Yankee Girls League (MYGL).

When

September - March

Where

Games are held at various rinks and are scheduled in accordance with the MYGL.

Practices

One team practice and one skills practice are held each week in the late afternoon or evening. All practices are held at the Essex Sports Center Rink in Middleton, MA, except for goalie skills clinics.

Games

Games start in early September and run through late March. Lady Chieftains play approximately 25 league games per season. The Lady Chieftains will be playing in 1 away tournament this season. The away tournament costs are in addition to the registration tuition.

Jerseys

Home and away jerseys, and socks are required for each player. Cost for these items is not included in the tuition.

Additional Costs

There is a non-refundable $50 fee to register for tryouts. After rosters are posted, you will be charged $500 (or $400 if your player is also on a co-ed team) around May 1 to secure your roster spot around. Finally, in September you will begin paying the balance of your player's tuition, depending on the payment plan you choose.
